Ammonium nitrate (ammonium nitrate) is obtained by neutralizing nitric acid with gaseous ammonia, followed by granulating the product.
APPLICATION: it is used as nitrogen fertilizer in agriculture. This fertilizer contains nitrogen in two forms: ammonium and nitrate, 17% in each. Universal nitrogen fertilizer can be used as a pre-sowing (main) fertilizer and as a top dressing. It is especially effective for early spring feeding of grain.
Grade A is used in industry, and grade B is used in agriculture.
